Frank van WEEZEL ERRENS. Born 25th January, 1929 in Sawah Loento, Indonesia of
Dutch parents.
He and his wife Martintje (Tini) came to Australia for a short visit in November, 1994 and stayed with various of Tini's relatives in the Hunter Valley for a short time then visited Frank's sister in Mullumbimby N.S.W. where
Frank stayed.
Her cousin William Halbesma, his wife Nancy and their grandson John were travelling by train from Sarina near Mackay Queensland, they were supposed to meet Tini on Murwillimbah Railway Stationand so she could accompany them to Newcastle. They went down for the wedding of Fiona Cousins daughter of Marta Halbesma to Jason Richards on 5th November, 1994.
Due to the N.S.W. train being very late going north all passengers were bused to Casino Railway Station and it was here that William and Tini met.
On the return journey Frank met Tini, William, Nancy and John as well as William's older brother John (Johan) at Brisbane's Roma Street Travel Centre and they all travelled North to William and Nancy's place near Mackay where they only stayed for just on a week, but they did see some of the tourist attractions such as a cruise to some Islands in the Whitsundays.
Frank had a heart complaint and on 29 October 1995, after he and Tini having a meal with friends at a restaurant they returned home, he had put the car into the garage and was sitting when his daughter noticed that he was breathing heavily and asked if he was alright. He said he had a pain in his chest and as he got up to get a heart tablet he collapsed. He had passed away before the Ambulance arrived.
His ashes are intered at M.C.L.-Noord, Jelsumerstraat 41-A te LEEWARDEN the service and cremation was held on Thursday 2nd November, 1995 at 1pm at the Crematorium "Leeuwarden",Yndyk 1 te Goutum and the gathering of family and friends were held in the koffiekamer (coffee room) for condolences to the family.
