Attached you will find a b/w picture of my grandmother Sjoukje Halbesma. It must have been taken somewhere at the end of the seventies. On the wall there is a framed piece of embroidery done by my great-grandmother with the text: "Benaaid door Blijke Sikkema in het jaar 1888" (embroidered by Blijke Sikkema in the year 1888). Since my "beppe" Sjoukje passed away four years ago, it's hanging over the fireplace at my uncle Johannes van Sinderen, who still lives in Ternaard/Friesland.
