Edward Medhurst, 7th child of John Medhurst and Elisabeth Rawlings, was baptised 14 June 1818, arrived in Australia 5 October 1841 on the "William Turner".
This is a copy of Edward's arrival papers:

What took Edward to Gravesend district (near Warialda) is not known.
Medhurst families settled at or near Gravesend, so named after their birth place in Kent, England.
Gravesend N.S.W. is a small town west of Warialda on the Inverell, Warialda, Moree road. It has a hotel and it is understood, this hotel was owned or licenced by Medhursts' late 1800's.
Edward was born 1818 and died 28 December 1890 aged 72 years at Yagobie. Cause of death, cancer. Edward is buried at Pallamallawa Cemetery.
Yagobie is a property West of the village of Gravesend. Edward's death cetificate was certified by Sophia Maidens (nee Medhurst), so it seems other Medhurst families lived in the district.

485 485 MEDHURST EDWARD Late of Yagobi near Moree.
In the name of God and Queen. August 6th. 1888.
In the "Colony" of New South Wales. This is the last will and
Testament of me Edward Medhurst, Bachelor, residing at Yagobi, Moree.
I do give will and bequeath my ten (10) acres of Freehold land at
Wollombi to Sophia Maidens, with whom I am at present residing and
also the sum of (£200) two hundred pounds stocking to the said Sophia
Maidens, which is now standing to my credit in the Commercial Bank at
Singleton. I leave ten pounds to my neice Elizabeth Mitchell of Sydney.
I leave ten pounds to my neice Annie Davis of Inverell. These two latter
sums of ten pounds each being also to my credit at the said Commercial
Bank Singleton. I desire the afore named sums to be paid after payment
of all funeral expenses and headstone.
I nominate fix upon and appoint Alexander Forbes, Selector of Biniguy,
Exector and Administrator to execute the provisions of this my last Will
and Testament.
