JOSEPH MIDDLEBY
Son of Robert Middleby and Matilda Atkinson was born in 1846 at Milltown, Louth in Ireland.
at the age of 18 years he migrated to Australia on the "Sandringham" arriving at Sydney on 26 June 1846.
He married his first cousin Adelaide Dunlop when she was only 15 years of age at Newcastle NSW Australia.
Adelaide was the daughter of his father's elder sister Margaret and Robert Dunlop, and she was born in 1852 whilst her parents were on their way to Australia on board the "David McIver" which arrived at Sydney 19 May 1852.
Records show that Joseph was a miner and he died on 9 April 1913 at 2 William St. Smedmore (Marryville) NSW and is buried 10 April 1913 inMethodist Cemetery. Sandgate NSW.
His wife Adelaide died 28 Feb 1931 at 24 Hannell St, Wickham NSW and was buried 2 March 1931 in Methodist Cemetry. Sandgate NSW with her Husband.
Both these grave sites have yet to be investigated.
